Best movie voice ever.

The first role I found him shining in was as Galveston native Jack Johnson in "The Great White Hope." After that he just got better. A great actor and, as John the OFM stated, the best movie voice ever. RIP

A true professional. Magic voice. Even his retirement away from the Vader voice was graceful. RIP

He was a US Army officer during the Korean War and his first movie role was in "Dr. Strangelove" as B-52 navigator Lt. Lothar Zogg.

Plus he was born in my home state of Mississippi which even more endears him to me.
