I use YOUTUBE to watch a lot of wargaming related content and yesterday after watching a video I saw one on the suggestions at the right, from a movie reviewer that I watch, that said words to the effect of "goodbye and farewell". Well, I thought that maybe he was packing it in and no longer going to make videos and this was his saying goodbye. I've seen other farewll vids like that in the past.

But when I clicked on it I was IMMEDIATELY disconnected from the internet and every time I reconnected and tried to access YT the same thing happened. I can access anything else on the net, so far, like normal, but YT seems lost to me.

I restarted my computer and scanned it multiple times with my antivirus software but it shows nothing out of the ordinary. It would seem like that movie review link was just some kind of virus or other nefarious thing designed to make people's lives miserable. Oh, I checked my laptop and am still able to access YT on it, so this seems confined to my desktop computer, which is my main go-to for online activities.

So has anyone else experienced this or heard of it and does anyone know how to counteract it? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Restore your PC to a point before the event occurred?

Seems like the problem is in the browser, so I'll try updating that. Thanks for the input.
