"No new movies for current DC cast?" Topic

As James Gunn takes over the DC franchise it's reported that:

"None of the stars cast by Zack Snyder for 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and 2017's Justice League – including Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller and Momoa — will reprise their roles in the new DC universe in character."

You could quibble about this somewhat, but Gal Gadot has made WonderWoman her own, and Jason Momoa has made an excellent start as Aquaman.

And I know that no-one went to see The Flash, but it was actually pretty good and having had a whole origin movie I'm not sure the world wants a brand new origin movie as the next step.

Oh well…maybe they'll ignore all the Big name characters for a decade and go and do Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Superwoman, Deadman, The Warlord…..instead.

It is weird. But have to disagree with you on The Flash. I saw it and it was bad. But Gal Gadot should stay as wonder woman. I am not big fan of Affleck but he did seem to be getting into the role finally.

It seems an odd choice. Cavill is a fan favorite, Godot is good in very badly written movies, Mamoa has done well as has Affleck. Other than Ezra Miller, who should be in jail and has brought tons of negative press to DC, it seems like a bad decision to recast everyone.
