I have seen the first three episodes. Okay, but not great. Can't get over seeing so many black characters including Merlin, in Dark Ages Britain. One even has a Jamaican Accent!
No fighting so far, mostly talk and then more talk. No where near as good as the books.

In today's world even the past can be awakened.

Been watching and waiting for it to take off. RE: woke issue. I've alway thought that Merlin was a character who could be played by an actor of any race. After all he was a magical being. What I really can't get past is characters who are clearly out of place and no one seems to notice.

Col,

Good point on Merlin.

Moderately enjoyable if I pretend it's a fantasy set in a fantasy world rather than fantasy set in England.

Watched the first episode. Other than Eddie Marsan chewing the scenery acting was about as good as the trailers I've seen for Made in Chelsea. Third rate sword and sorcery.
