"This week, superhero fans are finally going to return under the sea. Warner Bros. has just announced that Thursday, September 14 will bring the first trailer for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the long-awaited follow-up to James Wan's 2018 billion-dollar hit, Aquaman. But you don't have to wait that long to see a little something. A teaser for the trailer is here with your first look at the film."

That looks fun – I enjoyed the first film, especially the battle with the "deep ones".

Enjoyed the film – some great looking "ancient Atlantan technology", hope there are some wargame suitable spinoff toys!

Naturally it is being reported as a flop and is getting some quite savage reviews (1* in the Independent link )

I'd never argue that it is a highbrow film of multi-layered complexity with new insights into the human condition, but as a comic book action-adventure it's perfectly reasonable and hangs together quite well (they even explain stuff for people who didn't see the first film!).

Rotten tomatoes again shows a real split – it's 35% on 189 critic reviews , and 81% on 1000+ verified audience reviews
