link Go ahead. Tell us how healthy and harmless pot is again. |

Parzival, you realize you're talking to the same audience who believed what the tobacco industry told about studies on smoking (facts, but not the whole story) in the 50's and 60's, right? |

The pot mafia is not going to stand for this. Yes, and if you think big tobacco was bad, you're going to love big pot. Just think about the uproar if a tobacco company put out its produce as gummy bears! |

Everything is killing us… |

Yeah I know. I just get tired of the "it's harmless" crowd. The hell it's not. I even suspect it can be linked to mass shootings. We're conducting a huge un-controlled experiment on our young people, and we're refusing to acknowledge the dangerous results. |

Everything is killing us… That's the approach that says, go ahead and put a tablespoon of rat poison in your coffee. Everything is killing us anyway. It's also not true. Explain how ice crystals on Pluto are killing you. How about children in Africe learning to play Mancala? No? Well, how about the onions I have growing in my garden? The ice crystals are an absurd example. But it's absurd because the generalized statement is absurd. Everything Overgeneralization like that is not only logically fallacious, it's a cop out. It's a way to dismiss actual facts because you don't like what they say. |

I don't. Do you mean that the dangers of marijuana abuse should be ignored because other things might be harmful too? Or do you mean we must disregard dangers in one substance because dangers in another substance (as, say, saccharine) have been exaggerated in the past? Or do you mean that it's too hard to do anything about it, and thus we should ignore the problem? |
