So it's that time of year when the Elmo house needs to replace its Lang Civil War Calendar. Guess what we have this year?

Lang by Calendars.com has taken steps to remove all items promoting the confederate flag from our assortment -- whether in our stores or on our web site. Our corporate policies and core values prohibit items or listings that promote, support or glorify hatred.

The Civil War artists like Troiani or Kunstler better watch out. The woke mob is Coming! Now I need an alternate calendar source. I also see a niche market opportunity.

We in the ACW interest group saw this coming some years ago but that doesn't make it any less obnoxious.

Lang doesn't mean the CSA naval jack, do they?

Though I can find reasons why the Confederate flag should not be waved or shown in certain areas, to ban it from artwork depicting the war itself is ridiculous.

It's an ACW Calendar (no – really! )

To be consistent, they should ban the flag of any country that has ever profited from serfdom, slavery, racism, or an aggressive war of conquest. Their calendars will be cheaper since they'll will be in black & white.
