I did test that hypothesis extensively myself, using different materials (ales, spirits, wines) and sadly, I have to agree, it doesn't help.

However I fully intend to continue with my experiments when I am better.

I don't know. It have used this methodology since the beginning of COVID and it has worked terrifically for me. Perhaps you need to stick with the amber spirits, Bourbon, Rye and Scotch :)

To be fair, having recovered from COVID and had alcohol again, I haven't caught it a second time. Maybe I didn't imbibe sufficient quantities the first time? Let bacchanalia commence.

My experiments have not been completed, hence I cannot
