SpFN can should protect against existing variants. It can potentially protect against future variants, which may require rapidly-deployable (weeks instead of months or years) modified vaccines. It's a bit of poor journalism and focus. Other articles with actual information and references from WR have better info. Here's one with some links to actual info and some of the pre-clinical trial results. link |
