I've done **everything** mentioned online and I just cannot get 1080p or 720p. The picture is soft and sports are horrible, like watching in 480p.

I get a crystal clear picture on Netflix, Prime, HBOMax and others. But YTTV sucks.

Help! Any suggestions/fix?

Also, does YTTV work better with Chromecast or Fire Stick? Does Hulu work better with Roku?

I'm tearing my hair out.

Thanks

I went thru the fix cycle again just to be sure and this time it worked.

1. Remove YTTV Channel on Roku
2. Roku System Restart
3. Reinstall YTTV on Roku
4. In YTTV, manually change screen resolution from Auto to 1080p

How old is your router/modem?
Run a speed test to see if you are getting what you're paying for.

I would start by rebooting the Roku. That's done it for us a couple times and only takes a minute.

I am slow to restart the router. If no other devices are having trouble that's probably not it, though it might be and also doesn't take much time.

I sell Xfinity. The unwritten suggestion I have is to exchange ours if you're renting, every 2 years. No Questions are asked.
If you bought your own, it's not a bad idea to do regular speed tests.

What device(s) are you using to watch "Netflix, Prime, HBOMax and others"? Not the Roku I gather? How are they connecting to your network? Wired or Wireless? If Wireless how close is the router?

For my personal stuff, I try to keep all the tv and video platforms wired where possible. Better bandwidth and connection.

Currently Roku requests YTTv not be deleted.
