I'd be surprised if it was in the next 10 years considering the effort needed to eradicate smallpox and the ongoing efforts to eradicate polio. Also, it's a bacteria, but Y. Pestis is still in the wild.

We cannot get rid of the common cold, so I don't expect this virus to go away soon. Hopefully enough folks will get the vaccine and a growing herd immunity will keep out breaks to a minimum as those who refuse vaccinations continue to be victims of the virus.
