Oh, I thought they said wearing masks would flatten the curve.

Apparently you've not been watching the idiots crowding bars, restaurants, churches, attending large gatherings, etc., and not wearing masks or crowding into airport terminals and flying.

Had to do a rood trip in August thru 9 states west of Minnesota and I was frequently the only one wearing a mask in public and stared at and questioned as to why I was doing so. Sadly, most of the deaths will not be those that refused to wear a mask or socially distance.

According to the CDC the flu is almost nonexistent this year because everyone is wearing masks. According to the CDC COVID-19 is spreading because no one is wearing masks. Hmmm?

What they are actually saying is that the current level of mask wearing is helping keep down the rate at which flu is spreading but that it's not high enough to prevent the spread of the, more infectious, Covid-19.

So what you're saying is masks aren't working. Thanks.

I'm saying what the CDC are saying, masks are slowing the spread of Covid-19, but not enough people are using them.

We don't actually know that they'd stop the spread of Covid if everyone wore them , which is why it is suggested that other measures, such as social distancing, are taken alongside the wearing of masks.

They are one measure that we can take to slow the spread of the disease until we can get a sufficient number of people vaccinated.

Good thing we still have large airplanes flying with people packed in like sardines; but as long as they are wearing masks, they are in compliance. And that's what it is really all about, must keep the sheeple in compliance. No independent thought allowed. Let the people pack in the big box stores so the products from China continue to move, but let's run the Mom and Pop stores out of business. Good job sheeple.
