For those of you who think masks are just Spit Shields…

A N95 mask is not the same as surgical masks, cloth masks etc. It is a specialized mask that is for medical use in droplet spread disease. They must be fitted to a person by a qualified tester. I used them when I worked ICU, apples & oranges compared to the masks sold at stores.

Yup ZP is right. My wife fitted mine to me (actually,
4 of 'em) and knows how to cleanse them (she worked
epidemiology in part of her nursing career).

But she also told me the '95' means it is only effective
versus 95 % of what's in the air.

So I dunno. I just wear the thing when I'm supposed
to.

Despite the title, the masks used look like pretty generic masks.
