I'm wanting to rig my iPad up on my standard camera tripod. It has a screw mounting system, so I need something that will grip and hold the iPad securely, and then accept the mounting screw. As I want to position the iPad in a variety of angles (even face down), the gripping system has to be secure AND not interfere with either camera lens or light sensor.
Any recommendations? I'm hoping to keep this under $50. USD

From a quick Google search but can't recommend any as I do not have one.

I just did the same. I found two and ended up buying one like this from Walmart(mine was $9.95 USD + free shipping): link

It works fine but it doesn't open far enough to hold an iPad along its long edge. So you have to adjust the tripod itself.

The other one is this:

I may get this one, too.
