Building on my previous post about the Bataan movie, are there any recommendations for good movies of British Empire troops in the Pacific?

I think we all know of Bridge on the River Kwai.

Too Late the Hero with Michael Caine

Maybe not that realistic but fun in a kind of "Guns of Navarone" in the Pacific kind of way.

Not easy since most British World War movies focus on either North Africa or Western Europe

Depending on your sense of humour, there is also a Bollywood movie called Rangoon: YouTube link

Found it on Netfllix. Historical accuracy is not really its strong suit, and warning for those easily triggered, it is very pro-INA

Not a film, but there is the great 1970s sitcom "It Ain't Half Hot, Mum".

Seen as a bit un-PC these days and probably looks a bit dated and low budget, but still worth a watch. It's based on the writers' own experiences during the war…

Does "Empire of the Sun" count?

I think it does. I haven't seen it since I was a kid though. Isn't that the one where the boy is in the internment camp?

I did find another that MAY have British troops in – I'll have to watch it. It's entitled 'Never So Few'. A Frank Sinatra and Peter Lawford and Steve McQueen. It is about the OSS but may have Empire troops in supporting roles being led/rescued/saved/etc by USA troops.
