Facepalm. By the time this is over, I suspect we'll realize this "killer" virus has an actual death rate of less than 1%, and almost all of that among those with already existing severe health issues. I also suspect that it's actually been global since late fall of last year, and that the bulk of cases were so mild as to be ignored or diagnosed as a flu strain, with some deaths among the elderly population being put down as the same.
