to make increased use of the 'mute' and 'off' controls
on broadcast devices and their remotes.
Tired of hearing about 'gun violence' and (in two cases)
'knife violence' from the mouths of politicians who then
proceed to exclaim how they've been 'fighting' for
(insert trendy issue here) or 'fighting' for
(insert voter demographic here).
In a working life of 51 years, including 5 in uniform,
I accomplished a lot, mostly through the efforts of the
people I was lucky enough to have WORKING with me.
I suppose I was 'the boss,' but never operated in
that mode.
Which brings me to 'fighting' aspirants for shoving
their snouts into the public trough and 'gun/knife/motor
vehicle' violence.
Objects ain't violent, PEOPLE are ! And the more we as
a society tolerate in power those who use 'fighting'
in their 'elect me !' message, the farther we'll be
from a day when there's less violence of any form.
Imagine what good might be accomplished if these
'fighters' actually WORKED together !
