Cricket mad Nicholas Parsons has departed the crease, leaving a huge hole in British comedy, having helmed Just A Minute for over fifty years. He was working up to the end ensuring there was no hesitation, deviation or repetition. What a trooper!

RIP. If you've never listened to the 'Just a Minute' radio show I sincerely encourage you to do so. He was also in one of my favourite comedy classics 'Mr Jolly Lives Next Door' – a Comic Strip presentation with Rik Mayall, Ade Edmondson and Peter Cook. Highly recommended.
