Saturday the 10th;Sheffield Utd./Bournemouth,West Ham/ManCity,Burnley/Southampton,Palace/Everton,Watford/Brighton,Spurs/Villa,and Sunday the 11th;Arsenal visits Newcastle,ManUtd/Chelsea and Leicester/Wolves

Saturday saw the first red card issued in the new campaign, to Everton's Morgan Schneiderlin mid-way in the second half of their match w/ Palace. 0-0 draw at the close. Schneiderlin had been given a yellow card earlier in the match. All square 1-1 for Bournemouth/Sheffield Utd.,not a sausage for Wolves/Leicester. Arsenal edges Newcastle 1-0,Burnley over Southampton 3-0,Brighton over Watford 3-0(a Hornets goal was disallowed earlier due to a new rule concerning handballs or something),Spurs ding Villa 3-1,ManUtd drops Chelsea 4-0,and Citeh thumps the Hammers 5-0

And week 2 action has Arsenal hosting Burnley,Bournemouth at Villa ,West Ham at Brighton,Chelsea hosting Leicester,Watford at Everton,Spurs visit ManCity,Newcastle drops by Norwich,Palace visits Sheffield Utd.,Liverpool pays a call on Southampton and Wolves have ManUtd. over.

And so far,Liverpool takes the top spot with a 2-1 win over Southampton,with Arsenal just behind (on goal difference)following another 2-1 win,this one over Burnley.. 2-1 win for Bournemouth over Villa. Brighton/West Ham,Chelsea/Leicester all square 1-1.2-2 draw for ManCity/Spurs( a 3rd goal for Citeh by Gabriel Jesus was disallowed on VAR review). Everton dings Watford 1-0,as does Sheffield Utd. over Palace. Norwich delivers 3-1 drop on Newcastle. Wolves/ManUtd play in 20 minutes.

And Wolves/Burnley finish with a 1-1 draw. Watford seems to have some difficulties,falling to West Ham 3-1. ManCity drops Bournemouth 3-1 with Sergio Aguero contributing a brace and Bournemouth player daniels was taken off the pitch with an injury. 2-0 wins for Southampton and Villa,over Brighton and Everton,respectively. Brighton forward Florin Andone got a straight red card late in the first half. Chelsea edged Norwich 3-2. 1-0 to Newcastle over Spurs,Harry Kane missing some crucial shots,Leicester tops Sheffield 2-1 as do Palace over ManUtd. , and Liverpool tops Arsenal 3-1,Mo Salah delivering a brace. Goonahs keep the Reds from the clean sheet ,though.

And results;Goonahs in 2-2 draw with Spurs,(a would-be 3rd Arsenal goal was disallowed for being offside). Liverpool tops Burnley 3-0(one being an own goal by the Clarets' Wood). 2-2 draw for Chelsea/Sheffield(with Kurt Zouma of the Blues contributing an own goal to the Blades),1-0 win for Palace over Villa(with Trezeguet of the Villains getting bounced with a red card/2nd yellow)Everton dings Wolves 3-2(Toffees' Richarlison knocks in a brace) and Wolves play short as Willy Boly is sent off on a second yellow/red card in the final minute of play.. Leicester 3-1 over Bournemouth(Jamie Vardy w/ a brace)Sergio Aguero knocks in 2 to help make it a 4-0 thumping by ManCity over Brighton. All square at 1-1 for Newcastle/Watford,ditto for Southampton/ManUtd.,with the Saints playing a 10 man squad after Kevin Danso scythes McTominay(MUN)and is red carded for his trouble.,and the Hammers drop Norwich 2-0. International break this weekend.

And quite the weekend as Norwich tops ManCity 3-2,Arsenal draws 2-2 w/Watford,a 4-0 thumping by Spurs over Palace,3-1 to Bournemouth over Everton,1-1 draw for Brighton/Burnley,Wolves go down 5-2 to Chelsea(Tammy Abraham providing a hat trick for the Blues but also an own goal for Wolves),Liverpool 3-1 over Newcastle,ManUtd. edging Leicester 1-0,ditto to Southampton over Sheffield-who played a 10 man squad in the final minutes after the Blades' Billy Sharp lunged spikes up into Armstrong from the Saints,and was red carded. Villa hosts West Ham today at 1955 UTC(2:55 PM EDT)

And not a sausage(but sharing a point) for Hammers/Villains. However,West Ham's Arthur Masuaku was red carded in a controversial call by the referee. Masuaku reportedly attempted, but did not make any physical contact w/ Villa's El Mohamday.

Week 6 results,with a 10 man side(following Ainsley Maitland-Niles being red carded) ,Arsenal still manages to top Villa 3-2,Burnley over Norwich 2-0,Liverpool 2-1 over Chelsea(an earlier Blues goal attempt was disallowed on VAR review for being offside). All square 1-1 for Wolves/Palace;Wolves also playing a man short as Roman Saiss was given a second yellow/red card for tripping Wilfred Zaha. Sheffield 2-0 over Everton,Leicester 2-1 over Spurs(who also had a goal attempt disallowed on an offside). ManCity thrashed Watford 8-0(with Bernardo contributing a hat trick),Not a sausage for Newcastle/Brighton,Bournemouth 3-1 over Southampton and West Ham tops ManUtd. 2-0

League Cup play saw Spurs get dropped in PK shootout by League 2 side,Colchester, following a 0-0 draw after 2nd half stoppage time,4-3. ManCity tops PNE 3-0,5-0 to Arsenal over Forest. Leicester 4-0 over Luton,ditto Southampton over Portsmouth and Watford 2-1 over Swansea. Now to the Week 7 fixtures. Saturday is rather busy with Sheffield Utd. hosting Liverpool. Bournemouth/West Ham,Villa/Burnley,Chelsea/Brighton,Palace/Norwich,Spurs/Southampton,Wolves/Watford and Everton/ManCity. Sunday;Leicester/Newcastle and Monday;ManUtd./Arsenal.

Chelsea thumps Southampton,4-1 and Villa does likewise on Norwich,but 5-1 for the Villains. 1-0 to Burnley vs. a 10 man Everton side after Seamus Coleman gets a red card/second yellow in the second half. Not a sausage for Watford/Sheffield Utd.,Palace dings Hammers 2-1 and 1-0 wins for both Newcastle and Arsenal against ManUtd. and Bournemouth,respectively. The Goonahs move into 3rd spot in the tables. Toffees into the drop zone. Intl. Break this weekend.

And most of the results coming up. Liverpool's Adam Lallana scored a late equalizer in the 2nd half to give the Reds a 1-1 draw against ManUtd. An earlier goal attempt by Liverpool was disallowed on VAR review. More now. Everton drops West Ham 2-0,as do ManCity on Palace. Chelsea 1-0 over Newcastle,Villa 2-1 on Brighton,ditto Leicester over Burnley . Not a sausage for Bournemouth/Norwich and 1-1 draws for Spurs/Watford, and Wolves/Southampton;Sheffield Utd./Arsenal today 1955 UTC(2:55PM EDT).
