I just need a name for the rounded top formations, where these houses have been built. The rocks (often granite) typically have fantastic striations on them too:

Dan, If you are referring to the rocky debris deposited by a melting glacier it is called til. If you are referring to the scouring of rock faces by the passage of a glacier, I'm not sure it has a specific name. Not sure if this answers your question.
