What does "hottest financial year" mean? The tax year? If you are measuring something why not use calendar year like most others do? |

As pointed out in the article, financial year (July to June) is used as it nicely brackets the tropical monsoon. |

I am not sure if the end of the financial year for ALL businesses is June, but for Individuals it is June, and for my employer (one of Australia's largest companies) it is also June. |
