Not only old news, but the incident, accompanying newly released information on Publix's financial contributions to political candidates created a political fire-storm, so strong and swift, that Publix caved even before the threatened backlash even began.

We had a cake decorator do something in a similar fashion a few years ago. My mother is of Italian heritage and is the first member of her family to be born here in the US. My father special ordered a cake for her with a birthday greeting in Italian. The decorator saw the message and thought it was supposed to be in Spanish but just spelled incorrectly. He took the liberty of "correcting" it to Spanish and then spelled her name wrong.

Oh well, we tried.

Stormy is always covered in frosting. She's made an entire career doing that.

I'm not all that familiar with Stormy's body of work.
That's frosting?

I am unclear from the article whether or not this decision was made by the people we let drive cars on the streets or the AI we want to let drive cars on the streets.

Related Side Note: Many years ago, a classmate of SOM was stymied by the elementary school's (web filter, though he knew this not) blocking his online science paper research on sperm whales.

Related Side Note: I was blocked by work from downloading a Naval Postgraduate School master's thesis, from the official school website, on a wargaming engine because it related to "gaming" when my job was to evaluate the operational wargame derived from that thesis (among other resources). The CIO backed up the filter's decision.
