19. Not bad. But I need to brush up on how many bones are in the human body, apparently.

I got 21. Um……

Seriously, "an exceptional natural capacity of intellect, especially as shown in creative and original work in science, art, music, etc" (one dictionary's definition) has very little to do with regurgitating obscure facts, such a remembering the number of bones in a Human body or what the capital of Norway is. Well read people know this, not necessarily geniuses.

I remember what a Professor once told me, "IQ is an incredibly accurate indication of how well you have done on an IQ test". (And not much else was the inferred meaning). wink

Impossible to take the quiz as way too much click-bait and ads obscure the quiz buttons.

Nailed it.

As has been said a knowledge of obscure information is helpful. Not a test of reasoning or critical thinking. But then, that is because they didn't want to embarrass recent college graduates or their professors. The US Armed Forces intelligence/aptitude test is much better at measuring those.

I remember taking what was called the "hardest IQ test in the world" once. One question was,

"Hither is the thither as cis is to _____?"

The answer is "trans" and I got it right. I didn't get it right because I was a genius, or I was creative, or that I had special cognitive or reasoning powers. I got it because I had taken organic chemistry, where you need to know cis and trans orientation across double bonds.

These pop tests are stupid!

Yup just proves what I already know.

I'm highly mathematically challenged, so I never bothered taking those tests with maths in them. I did know the Capital of Norway though.

thumbs up Gunfreak

Lol! Dunning, meet Kruger.

20 out of 20.

As I stated just proves what I already now.

Though you and several others can keep on thinking otherwise.
