This was the best YouTube onboard lap video I have seen so far. I didn't even know about this race. Some racing fan I am. Actually, I am an old school F-1 fan, and a bit of GT racing from the same period. But Denny Hulme died at Bathurst and I thought I knew that much at least. If I did, I forgot. A recent Autoweek cover had a picture and the cover story about Bathurst, so I had to go look. What an awesome racetrack!

Bathhurst is an Aussie icon, although with the demise of the v8 who knows……some big names in Aussie motorsport graced it and a few drivers have sadly died, before they changed Conrod straight.

Its like the FA cup; form and reputation count for nothing on the day. Its who can coax a car at speed for 1000 km.
