See…
This is what happens when we put "experts" in charge.

Ranks right up there with "well, if fire off a nuke it may just ignite the atmosphere".

Or as the last thing heard right before the Big Bang – "Oh Sh….."

Martin From Canada19 Aug 2017 9:24 a.m. PST

A little less inflammatory…

Let's pop that big cyst. It can't possibly get messy. I have faith in our leaders and scientists.

Go to Doctor Pimple Popper on YouTube to see what could happen on a micro scale.

Couldn't we just poke a bunch holes around Old Faithfull and set up a Los Vegas like display?.

First you apply alcohol to a HUGE needle …

Dan
PS. Make sure to cover your mouth before you start digging and poking around with that needle.

Here is what will go wrong and why.
It will work for 25 years, but nobody is really sure if it is working. Then a cost cutting manager will start to cut costs. Heck, he wants to look good for his superiors.

boom

Whatever goes wrong, it will be the Government's fault. That part I can guarantee.

Well look on the bright side.

If is goes that would put a stop to any Global Warming for several thousand years.

Been done already.

As opposed to…….?

Don't worry John. Any expert who wants to do anything has to get it past Lamar Smith first. The "Expert problem" is thereby solved.

By the way, I'd advise you all to read both versions of the story. They seem to be somewhat different in tone and veracity. The Daily Star Sunday? Really?

How about this?

Seems like a reasonable proposal to me.

If there is any damage to Mt. Washburn, I shall be seriously annoyed.

Funny you should mention that, Scott….

Back in the early 1900's, the Great Northern Railroad did a land swap with the government. The parcel the railroad got in the deal was… the top of Mt. St. Helens. Well, after the mountain did its thing, a VP of the Burlington Northern Railway (successor to the Great Northern Railroad) announced that, effectively, their parcel had disappeared (actually, not disappeared; just spread over several continents!).

Postscript: After seeing this announcement an Oregon railroad fan sent the VP a small vial containing some of the soot that had been blown off the mountain with a note "Here's SOME of your land back!". The VP got a huge laugh out of that!

Why are you wasting your time reading this junk. Stick to mainstream news sources. For those of us who believe in science.
