Week 16 results. Even with the snow threat,all matches went on. Burnley 1-0 over Watford,who were down to 10 after Marvin Zeegelaar was sent off for a bad foul in the 39th minute. 2-2 draw for Palace/Bournemouth. Huddersfield top Brighton 2-0,Leicester over Newcastle 3-2(the Magpies with an own goal). Swansea 1-0 over West Brom,Spurs thump Stoke 5-1(Shawcross with an own goal also),Harry Kane getting a double,and a Potters' own goal added to their troubles. West Ham surprised Chelsea by dropping them 1-0. Southampton/Arsenal all square 1-1 as were Liverpool/Everton. And a hard fought Manchester Derby ending with City adding a 14th win for the season over United 2-1. City keeper Edison making some impressive saves. Mid-week action coming Tuesday. Burnley/Stoke,Huddersfield/Chelsea and Palace/Watford. Wednesday;Swansea/ManCity,ManUtd./Bournemouth,Southampton/Leicester,West Ham/Arsenal,Liverpool/West Brom and Spurs/Brighton.

Watford lost Cleverley to a red card in the 87th minute yesterday. Now on to Wednesday's results; ManCity remains unbeaten with a 4-0 thumping of Swansea. ManUtd. 1-0 over Bournemouth,ditto Everton over Newcastle(who were a man short as Jonjo Shelvey was sent off in the last minute of regulation time. Leicester topped Southampton 4-1,Spurs 2-0 over Brighton. Two 0-0 draws,Liverpool/West Brom and West Ham/Arsenal.

Palace also with a 3-0 win over Leicester,with the Foxes seeing Wilfred Ndidi sent off on a second yellow/red card for diving. ManCity remains on top with a 4-1 win over Spurs,4-1 win for Huddersfield over Watford,with both sides having a player sent off(Troy Deeney for the Hornets and Jonathan Hogg for the Terriers). Newcastle got a needed 3 pts. with a 3-2 win over West Ham, which pops the Geordies just above the drop zone. Manchester Derby saw a 3-2 surprise win for ManUtd. over City,in part from a brace by Paul Pogba done within 2 minutes of each other.Draws for Bournemouth/Palace(2-2),Brighton/Huddersfield(1-1)Chelsea/West Ham(1-1)(a possible game winner for Chelsea was called offside) and West Brom/Swansea(1-1) 2-1 wins for Burnley over Watford,Spurs over Stoke(brace by Erikson),Newcastle over Leicester. And a 3-2 win for Arsenal over Southampton(Welbeck from the Goonahs knocking in a brace as well as doing an assist earlier); both sides had a player sent off for violent conduct.(Elheny for Arsenal,Stephens for Southampton)in second half stoppage time within a minute of each other.
