Burnley 1-0 over Watford,who were down to 10 after Marvin Zeegelaar was sent off for a bad foul in the 39th minute. 2-2 draw for Palace/Bournemouth. Huddersfield top Brighton 2-0,Leicester over Newcastle 3-2(the Magpies with an own goal). Swansea 1-0 over West Brom,Spurs thump Stoke 5-1(Shawcross with an own goal also),Harry Kane getting a double,and a Potters' own goal added to their troubles. West Ham surprised Chelsea by dropping them 1-0. Southampton/Arsenal all square 1-1 as were Liverpool/Everton. And a hard fought Manchester Derby ending with City adding a 14th win for the season over United 2-1. City keeper Edison making some impressive saves. Mid-week action coming Tuesday. Burnley/Stoke,Huddersfield/Chelsea and Palace/Watford. Wednesday;Swansea/ManCity,ManUtd./Bournemouth,Southampton/Leicester,West Ham/Arsenal,Liverpool/West Brom and Spurs/Brighton.

And Burnley tops Stoke 1-0,Chelsea 3-1 over Huddersfield and Palace 2-1 over Watford.

Watford lost Cleverley to a red card in the 87th minute yesterday. Now on to Wednesday's results; ManCity remains unbeaten with a 4-0 thumping of Swansea. ManUtd. 1-0 over Bournemouth,ditto Everton over Newcastle(who were a man short as Jonjo Shelvey was sent off in the last minute of regulation time. Arsenal tops Newcastle 1-0,as do Chelsea over Southampton. Not a sausage for Brighton/Burnley. West Ham thumps Stoke 3-0,putting the Hammers clear of the drop zone by a point or two. Palace also with a 3-0 win over Leicester,with the Foxes seeing Wilfred Ndidi sent off on a second yellow/red card for diving. ManCity remains on top with a 4-1 win over Spurs,4-1 win for Huddersfield over Watford,with both sides having a player sent off(Troy Deeney for the Hornets and Jonathan Hogg for the Terriers). Liverpool hands ManCity it's first loss of the season 4-3 yesterday,and Bournemouth over Arsenal 2-1. 0-0 draw for Chelsea/Leicester(Foxes' Ben Chillwell being sent off on a second yellow card/red),all square at 1-1 for Newcastle/Swansea and 2-2 for Watford/Southampton.Palace dings Burnley 1-0,West Ham thumps Huddersfield 4-1,Spurs near likewise,drop Everton,4-0; with Harry Kane contributing a double. West Brom 2-0 over Brighton. Stoke still searching for new boss before tonight's match w/ManUtd.

Everton draws 1-1 with West Brom(the Baggies lose James McCarthy to a second half injury;double fracture)Leicester tops Watford 2-0 (and the Hornets' boss Marco Silva is sacked). ManCity 3-1 over Newcastle,(City's Sergio Aguero knocks in all 3 goals for them)All square 1-1 for Southampton/Spurs( Harry Kane and an "own goal" by Sanchez) Stoke gets the clean sheet with 2-0 win over Huddersfield,and pops up from the drop zone. And 1-1 draw for West Ham/Bournemouth.

Swans get the 3 points in a 1-0 win over Liverpool Second leg of League Cup semi-finals play today and tomorrow. Bristol City hosting ManCity and Chelsea hosts Arsenal. FA Cup break this weekend.

And ManCity goes to League Cup final with a 3-2 win over Bristol City( 5-3 to City on aggregate)

And they'll be taking on Arsenal,who topped Chelsea 2-1,in the finals.

Sunday,it's Arsenal/Watford and Bournemouth/Spurs. Monday-Stoek/ManCity. Also Liverpool gets in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals by defeating Porto on aggregate.

ManCity continues to dominate as they drop Stoke 2-0,not helping the Potters' in their struggle to stay up-currently in 19th spot in the tables.

And the Merseyside Derby resulted in a point each for Liverpool and Everton,but not a sausage in goals. Manchester Derby saw a 3-2 surprise win for ManUtd. over City,in part from a brace by Paul Pogba done within 2 minutes of each other.Draws for Bournemouth/Palace(2-2),Brighton/Huddersfield(1-1)Chelsea/West Ham(1-1)(a possible game winner for Chelsea was called offside) and West Brom/Swansea(1-1) 2-1 wins for Burnley over Watford,Spurs over Stoke(brace by Erikson),Newcastle over Leicester. And a 3-2 win for Arsenal over Southampton(Welbeck from the Goonahs knocking in a brace as well as doing an assist earlier); both sides had a player sent off for violent conduct.(Elheny for Arsenal,Stephens for Southampton)in second half stoppage time within a minute of each other. Brighton also lost Davy Propper to a red card for a bad foul.

In UEFA Champions League quarter-finals/second leg,Liverpool drops ManCity 2-1 and moves into the semis,along with Serie A side AS Roma,who tops Barcelona 3-0 and wins on aggregate away goals. Bayern Munich/Sevilla and Real Madrid/Juventus play tonight. Bayern and Real are ahead,after the first leg. Arsenal holding it's own in Europa League quarters.

Juventus tops Real Madrid 3-1,but La Liga's Real makes the semi-finals on 4-3 aggregate. Not a sausage for Bayern Munich/Sevilla,but the Bundesliga's Bayern also gets to the UEFA Champions League semis with a 2-1 aggregate. With 4 matches left in the campaign,the Baggies need to win all of them to have even a remote chance to stay up.
