It's a pretty good movie, perhaps a little slow I felt. Some nice nods to the original Apes movies here and there. Andy Serkis does a good job as Caesar.

Caps the trilogy off nicely, it makes it quite easy to root for the apes though – humans are really not a nice species evil grin

I just saw the first two On Demand, and am looking forward to this one. Andy Serkis as Caesar is amazing.

I can't think of a reboot that has been done so well – the previous attempt to do this for Planet of the Apes (the one with Helena Bonham-Carter) was a bit of a mess, but the approach in this trilogy has presented a more logical and consistent story than the original series of films. That's quite an achievement – they can have nods to the original films, but they aren't heavy handed (as in the Star Trek reboots) but what this offers is a completely different story.

I do like the old films – I think it's been very sensible to not try and shoehorn the new films into the old series.

I'm glad some folks like them. For me, I would have been fine if they stopped after the first.

I like the new movies but prefer the originals for some reason. I'd love to see the extended version of the one where the apes revolt and take over the city (I think it's Conquest of the…). My understanding is a lot of footage was cut, to reduce it's rating, and not saved.

Hoping for a funny parody of it from Mad Magazine. They did quite a job with the original first 4."The Milking Of 'The Planet That Went Ape' And Its Sequels" in the early 1970's. And the later one with Mark Wahlberg they dubbed "Planet Of The Remakes".
