We seem to be having more than our current share of tragedies in the UK at the moment. The current estimate of the dead is 58. Let's hope it's less, it may be more.

This one – well. It's just awful. So many people, so many of them children.

Doubtless this will be the tragedy which will finally force the retro-fitting of Sprinkler Systems to the UK's ageing tower blocks. It really shouldn't have required this tragedy – Grenfell Tower had just had a £10.00 GBPmillion restoration, overhaul and face lift. Apparently fitting a sprinkler system as part of this would have been £200,000.00 GBP . Someone chose not to do that – doubtless they now regret that decision.

Oh dear God. So many. And what a horrible way to go.

RIP.

Thing is I do believe that when all said and done you are going to hope that it was only 58.

I think the number is far higher.

I also wonder on how it got started.

I think they've said a fire in a kitchen on the fourth floor – but that's all still to be confirmed.
