Heroscape: Road to the Forgotten Forest

It's a terrain expansion for Heroscape, but will non-Heroscape gamers be attracted by the trees?

Downed the Cavs in 5 games. Normally, this is something to be proud of. However, the NBA has become something of a farce. Same two teams making the finals for the last three years. The rest of the league is just window dressing.

Window dressing ? Hmmm…no, Joker, just more potential
revenue sources for the owners/NBA PA to split and
further ruin the 'sport'.

It's not even entertaining any longer.

But when you have boring "parity" like the NHL, everyone whines that there aren't dynasties any more, that sports need to have some big cheeses for the little cheeses to knock off, and that it's too hard for teams to repeat as champs. Is it a league problem or is a problem with the other 28 or whatever teams?

NHL rarely has a repeat champion. They have not had the same two teams make it to the final 3 times in a row.

I suppose if you look at it from the golden colored glasses of the ownership you are right Ed. However, if you are a fan of a team that is not the Cavaliers or the Warriors and do NOT have a stake in the NBA, you might (just might!) wonder why you watch at all. grin

To decide which sport is more exciting to watch, just look at highlights. NBA highlights are typically 3 point shots. That's about as exciting as watching a golfer tee-off on the 18th hole.

Meh. Professional basketball could be converted into an hour and fifteen minutes of half-hearted sprints up and down the court, with pauses to whine and/or strut, followed by 15 minutes of actual ball play, and you'd have the same end result. The only difference is the scores would just be lower.

The NBA hasn't been great since Jordan, and hasn't been good since Shaq.

Folks who believe the game is decided on the court also believe professional wrestling is real.

In terms of NBA B'ball, I think more and more games
are decided between/among a small group of 'stars' who
try to 'build' their version of a championship caliber
team, w/o interference from GM's or ownership, and
largely out of sight/sound.

It's decided by the team that can shoot the most 3-pointers.

Perhaps. I wonder why they play a full court game.

It surely isn't to allow any defense.
