Years ago, my then almost eighteen year-old daughter had finished up c. one year of piano lessons with a recital of the students. At home practicing, once, and only once that I heard, she played it flawlessly, almost as if she were in "Zen" mode. This piece on Epic Music VN's streaming live channel on YouTube sent me instantly into the past in a big way. You'll be able to hear the thematic similarity I'm sure.

I love variations on themes in classical music. So this speaks to me. My connection to a lost time might have something to do with that on this occasion.
