Saw it on Sunday. Here's my take on it.

Shaved armpits? No. Goddesses don't have unsightly hair. Oh, I'm sorry, human women, but you are not goddesses, now are you? You can shave and primp and makeup and botox and exercise to near death, and you will never be goddesses. If you have hairy armpits, that is proof positive that you are not a goddess……….

Not my cup of chai.

Cindy Crawford has stopped shaving, by the way.

That is not my cup of tea either. I could care less about armpits. A trim and you're good to go. But then, I don't expect any goddess to think of me as worthy………

28mm – good review.

My wife and I saw it on Tuesday and we both likes it.

Plus Gal Gadot is extremely easy on the eyes!

It was a little slow in parts, but overall a good time.

It told the whole backstory – as an origin movie I thought it worked really well.

thumbs up

I liked it. It was pretty action packed, I thought and the action scenes were great.

One big thing that was odd was about the German ship that was at Themyscyra. What happened to that? I know the landing parties were all killed but what happened to the ship itself? Certainly they could have just shelled the island into oblivion.

It hit a rock or something… There was a bang and then the next time they show it, its sinking in the background. I think it hit it as it came through the glamer barrier.

Yes, the last we see of it, the ship is listing very badly.

Interestingly, the only German ship which could possibly have been in the eastern Mediterranean in 1918 was the SMS Breslau which had fled with the battlecruiser Goeban to Turkey in 1914. The Breslau, renamed Midilli, made a raid into the Med and sank after striking several mines. Clearly that was a cover story rather than admit it struck a rock near an invisible island!

Loved it. Imperfect thematic notes at the end but otherwise very enjoyable.

I counted six moments when I was bored, to be bluntly honest that didn't even happen with MoS and BvS:DoJ.

I did like the crossover with Highlander, Ares' Quickening was really well done.

Gadot is not a great actress, but at least she felt sincere.

Of course the most amazing thing is that for the first time in ages we had a superhero who isn't defined or made by a tragedy ! She didn't have somebody die to get inspired, nobody was murdered or something tragic happen before she felt the urge to do something. She simply came to the conclusion that with her powers and not doing anything to help other people, would make her a first class putz.

Well, her beloved aunt was killed by the Germans…
