Bit more than that, actually. Here's the current situation.

I have a Fitbit with Fitbit Connect on my computer. At some point in the last few days, Fitbit must have released an update. While my wife was working on the Mac today, the computer put of a dialog box with a filled installation bar and a button saying "Install and Relaunch." (She says she didn't click on anything to cause this, and I did, foolishly, have the app update button still checked on the App Store preferences.) There are no other buttons on this box, not even a red "Close" button, and no option to cancel the damn thing.

I do not want this update. Heck, I don't actually trust that it is what it says it is.

I'm concerned that if I reboot the machine, this will then install itself when I enter my admin password, whether I want it or not.

I don't want it. I don't need it. I want it to NOT DO ANYTHING and GO AWAY.

Anybody got a clue how to rid myself of this thing?
