Well this is not a surprise at all.

The critics hate it.

Was a stupid show and an even more stupid movie.

The million dollar question here is:

Will 'Baywatch' overcome its low IQ and scathing reviews to become an unlikely box office hit based solely on the star power of Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron a la' 'Central Intelligence' and 'The Rundown' for the former and 'Neighbors' and 'Mike and Dave need Wedding Dates' for the latter, or will it crash-and-burn like another recent "stupid-is-as-stupid-does" big screen adaptation of a ho-hum TV show, 'CHiPs'?

Stay tuned.

More importantly, is it approved by "The Hoff" and will Pamela Anderson appear in a cameo?

A summertime movie release based around a beach setting and theme. Don't count it out just yet.
