Most recently Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. A really great movie career including the Sin City franchise. RIP.

At 68? No way!!! Wow.

I loved him in Southern Comfort, Emerald Forest, Red Dawn, Tombstone and so many other films, playing both good guys and bad equally well. So many well-delivered roles.

PS. Not to sound disrespectful in any way, but this one was one of my all-time favorite Powers Boothe lines, ever:

CC, no disrespect taken. I too was impressed with the power and meaning he was able to communicate with just those two words. Very sad to lose him.

Born and raised in Snyder, TX. I remember his first notable role as the demonic Jim Jones in the 1980 CBS miniseries 'Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones'. He had some very memorable roles in many movies, and had a distinctive baritone voice. Great actor.

Godspeed, Mr. Boothe, and thank you very much.

He won an Emmy for that(outstanding actor in lead role/original film),Saginaw, and was one of the few performers that year who challenged the Screen Actors Guild strike that was happening that fall ,to accept his award. Another goodie of his was "By Dawn's Early Light",playing a B-52 jockey, with Rebecca DeMornay as his co-pilot/gal pal,and Martin Landau as the president as well as James Earl Jones.

A better actor than his recognition might lead one to believe. His "Curly Bill" was very well done, and even if folks today don't know him for any of his earlier excellent work, they can see him perhaps at his best.

Saw him first in link

R.I.P. and thanks.
