My son credits the coaching, and watching the 3rd period of that game, I saw what he means. I was thinking that the Preds were playing too much defense and weren't bringing enough men forward on offense to score a 2-point lead, but now I see that the coach was forcing the Blues into a risky empty net scenario, which the Preds thoroughly exploited. No need to give up your solid defensive play when you can eventually make the other team hand you the win! |
