Quick spoilerfree review :

Cookie-cutter action flick with most of the pretty pictures lifted straight from the anime.

Pilous Asbaek and "Beat" Takeshi are the best bit in the whole story. Scarlet Johanson tries (and fails) to emulate the cold emotionless exterior of the Major (yes they explain a lot about her in the film) but she could have easily been replaced by a cardboard standee, you wouldn't notice the difference.

If you like the anime, you'll probably weep a the massive dumbing down, if you are allergic to anime, you might still feel a nasty rash.

Don't care much about anime but do like SJ in a cat suit.

In the trailers, Scarlett is clothed in paint. Of course it's a high quality film!

ScarJo pretty much clinched it for me!

Trailers make it look like it is a CGI fest. So probably does not rely on any acting talent.

Who needs acting talent when you have ScarJo in that outfit?

Going to see this tonight. Looked like SF/Action with a little thoughtfulness in the trailers.

Hoping it does have some of all three!

Well 2 out of 3.

Want a review?

It's a remake of Robocop with some CGI special effects.
