I recently bought a set of rules from someone in North Carolina. I'm in california. Since it was free shipping, I'm guessing they sent it media mail rate.

Well, the postal plane must have really overshot the landing strip since the package tracking now says it's in Guam.

WTF DUDE!!!!

Has anyone else seen something like this happen? I've confirmed with the seller that they did correctly send it to California.

Sure. Last year I had a package take a side trip to Turkey on its way to California from Colorado. They tracked it there and tracked it back.

I had a package going to Moscow that decided to take a vacation to Aruba.

I have also had other things go astray, but not quite that bad.

I am assuming you believe your package is traveling west to California from NC. It could have been routed via the opposite direction.

I once bought a game and the pieces were all miscue. It happens. I sent a scan off to the publisher and they put replacements in the mail. I watched them cross the country until they got to LA, then the tracking page said "train wreck" (or something like that). No updates for a week. Eventually I got the tiles…

I live in Massachusetts and I shipped a package to my son in Wyoming. It ended up in SF the routed back to Denver and on to Wyoming. Also had a package I sent to Belgium end up in Belarus. They sent it on to Belgium and all was well. $h!t happens.
