You have to stay for the duration. The ending sets up the sequel which takes place behind a restaurant in the UK involving a giant shark and Kong. The working title is "Fish and Chimps."

It would have helped if they had juggled the order of the credits. If the thank-you line to Toho had been put near the beginning of the credits rather than at the end, more people would have stayed for the after credit scene…
