My VP works remotely… a lot. So we don't see much of him. But this week, I encountered a new device in his on site office. A mobile virtual presence device. Almost straight out of Big Bang Theory. This is not the droid I was looking for. If I see this thing rolling around the office, I've very tempted to slap a restraining bolt on it and sell it to some Jawas. |

I saw something like that used to keep a bedridden high schooler "in class". His robot rolled around school from class to class and everyone could see is face on the screen. Creepy but cool. |

Are you so sure he is actually on the other end?? Like Tacticus says, it's got a display screen that should show his face from the video camera on his end. It was very reminiscent of the boardroom scene in Demolition Man. |
