ESPN says Bradys Legacy forever tarnished, CNN says he should be suspended for the game….This is gonna be great! The halftime show just might be hilarious. Saw a new Budwieser commercial clip, "racists" beating up a immigrant, then a minority buys him a beer! This is World Class! |

Since it's football, i figured guys in helmets would be appropriate.
I plan on watching through the halftime show, if only because my son really wants to watch the game and I would not mind seeing L. GaGa. After that, the kids are headed to bed and my give a crap meter will hit zero. |

Wow! Was that man's Legacy ever tarnished! Only 4-time MVP, only QB with 5 rings, only QB to go to 7 of them. And he threw for over 400 yards. And he gets to go celebrate with Giselle. Poor Tarnished Man… Bill |

DoubleG, the only thing that would have made it better would have been for Kraft to refuse to take the trophy from Goodell and instead making Goodell himself hand it to TB ! Brady GOAT – no issue anymore ! |

Revenge is a dish best served cold. Goodell and the rest of the league did all they could to derail the Patriots; Brady suspended for four games, loss of their #1 draft pick, yet they still won the Super Bowl. I really don't blame Goodell, he was only following the orders of the other 31 owners, he was their stooge throughout all of this. Anyone who doesn't understand that's what happened here is clueless. I still can't believe they won that game. I've seen it all, from Havlicek stealing the ball to White's OT TD……………….what a ride. And Ed; to be honest, Montana is still the top dog in my eyes. Undefeated in the Super Bowl, 4-0, 11 TD's, zero INTS, QB rating of about 126 or so, that's off the charts. Brady threw a boneheaded INT yesterday, but give the man credit, he was a stone cold assassin in the fourth quarter and in OT………………… |

I haven't agreed with ANY of Smokey's completely ridiculous comments on the game, but he WAS right in his title of this thread-- it was indeed a must watch epic! |

DoubleG, about Brady's int – I am not sure, but I've reviewed that play about a dozen times and here's what it seems to me. Remember the Pats have this favorite play where the slot on the left will run a crossing route back to the right, the defender following. The follow-up receiver (either TE brush-block then runs a hook route or back from the backfield chipping the tackle, then doing the hook) is then clear for a quick pass. On that play, Alford the defender IGNORES the slot (I think Edelman) and sits on the end of the hook route and makes the pick 6. I think a lot of film study went into his decision and he made a great defensive play. Recall later in the game the Pats ran almost the identical pass patterns and Edelman was wide open on the right hash but TB overthrew him. If Edelman had received and scored it would have been because Alford blew the coverage. Difficult to compare Joe M. with TB, DoubleG. Montana is certainly one of the greats and his era (along with Bradshaw's the other 4-time SB winner) was less QB-friendly in terms of the rules of the game so perhaps you're right. It isn't the same game what with all the rule changes and so forth. |

Great analysis Ed. I remember the Edelman play, he was open and Brady missed him, he dove and stuck one hand out on the pass. All I know is in the 4th quarter, Brady was a surgeon out there, just lethal. Once they won the coin toss in OT, it was over. |

"stone cold assassin" Best description of the entire Pats team in the 4th. |
Double G | 07 Feb 2017 6:19 a.m. PST |
Agreed Charlie 12; it took them 3 quarters to get their heads and their @sses wired together, but once they did, it was lights out…………….Brady is just something else, his legend grows daily, he's on the Mount Rushmore of Boston sports along with Russell, Orr and Williams. |
