We'll do two songs today, because I skipped a few days since the first one.

The third track off Primo Victoria is one you've likely seen before if you look at metal stuff on youtube at all.

Panzer Battalion has been fan-video'd with all manner of tank footage, much of it ww2 related.

Despite the title, it's not ww2 song though.
The references to SAM sites should help make that clear :-)

It's a reference to the second Gulf war ("This time we're here to finish a job") and is referring to Coalition armour, not Krauts.

The fact that tank forces are "Panser" in nordic languages will help clear up the confusion.

As far as the song, it's an anthem alright.
The refrain starts by belting out "Death in the shape of a Panzer battalion" which is about as metal as you can get.

As mentioned, there's a trillion uploads of this song with various tank and combat footage over it. I just sort of picked one at random here.

Best line?
"Thousands of tons of armour and guns making its way through the sand"

Rating? 4 out of 5 easy. It's a wargamers song, reveling in the destructive power of modern warfare.
