I posted this link last year on the TFL Forum. Leonard Cohen's Live Recitation Of "In Flanders Fields" – Los Angeles 2015

Cohen's father, uncle and a cousin served in the Royal Montreal Regiment. See 1:22 of video.

Not a big fan (he depressed me). But loved Hallelujah and some of his stuff, great intellect and a real person, I believe he's essence will live on though.
RIP Leonard.

Sad day when talented people leave this world. While I don't know his music so well, Hallelujah is one of my favorite songs. Rest in peace.

Very sad to hear this news – first thing on the radio when I woke up. He was a fearless examiner of his own emotions and relationships, a speaker out for the downtrodden, and a very funny and self deprecating singer.

Tower of Song is the perfect example of that last characteristic.

Although he spawned so many similar artists, no-one did what Cohen did quite as well – or for so long.

Not the best singer in the world, but one of my favorite song writers. I was truly sad when I read the news. 2016 has been bad year. RIP.

Passing of a great poetic song writer. Many love his songs without knowing he wrote them.

Life is all about ups and downs and someone has to do the sad stuff. He did it wonderfully.
