Mansions of Madness 2nd edition has been out for a while now, and Caroline picked this game up last Friday since we had been talking about it and the new central feature – tablet app taking the role of the game master. It was very expensive, but after some pondering if found its way to our home and we spent most of Friday evening and the whole of Saturday playing it.

I did not enjoy 1st ed MoM, but 2nd edition feels extremely well done and the overhaul of several areas such as combat, investigator sanity/health and the app running the story acting as the game master really improved the game beyond what I thought was possible.

Yes since Asmodee brought Fantasy Flight they have been reworking the Games.

Also this was one of the major reasons why GW broke off Fantasy Flight from producing certain IP's.

That did cause me buy at higher than normal prices for certain things.

I an considering picking up this game, but have not pulled the trigger just yet.
