Texas Grand Prix tomorrow, and Hami has the pole, but given his abysmal starts of late, not sure he'll be able to keep it after the first turn. My guess is he loses 3 – 4 places going into/after the first corner, but eventually makes some of that up. Not sure if he'll be able to finish first, due to his tired engine. Nico looks like a lock for the season's driver championship award, unless he suffers a major mechanical failure in the next few races, or is taken out by a competitor other than Hami on the track. My money's again on Nico this weekend for the win, due to Hami's tired car, and abysmal starts. Hopefully the latter won't drive him off the track again this year in the first corner. Ricciardo for 2nd, and Hamilton for 3rd. Who're you taking? |

I will go out on a limb and take Hamilton for this race, but agree Nico will win the championship. |

Hami did look good, but I think his luck has abandoned him. |

Daniel Riccardo to throw in a spanner with starting on the super soft tyres, Rosberg to choke going into turn 1 – perhaps Verstappen to nerf him. Want anyone but Nick "for sure" Rosberg. As usual, I want a double points finish for McLaren but that'll be tricky with Button getting stuffed in qualifying. |

Been watching FormulaE, lots of fun, its like watching scale electrics and without all the F1 hype and ha loo like Hammie blaming his mechanics and the ludicrous money in a so-called sport at least the electric stuff has something to offer in its R and D to future electric car development. |

Since IndyCar's season is over, I've started on F-1. Hamilton has too much of an ego for me. I'm hoping Nico nabs the championship. And I'd like to see HAAS do better. And I also like the Formula E stuff. One of my pals works for Dragon Racing.

Yea, I agree about that – Hamilton is a bit too conceited to stomach, though he's been taken down a notch or three since the last few races of last season, as well as this one. Good to see Hami taken down a notch this season, much of that due to his abysmal starts. Clearly, Nico and many others have him nailed on that. Nico's really outshined him tremendously, this season, based upon the stats. The finish Sunday will make things interesting for the rest of the season, but barring major equipment failures for Nico, or people crashing into him, looks like he's got a lock on this season's championship. I suspect Hami's distracted by his other pursuits, including being in a new videogame release. I'd like to see Red Bull and Ferrari, plus others do a bit better on engine power. Mercedes is far too advanced beyond them to keep the races interesting. |
