Dreadful thing to hear. Terrible for Terry but also tough, very tough, for family & friends. |

Very sad news. Echoing 20thmaine, it will be much tougher on those close to him, especially as this terrible illness progresses. |

I have personal experience with dementia, as my now-sainted Mom suffered with it for three years before she passed away from terminal cancer. Thankfully, despite the disease, she was able to feed herself (although her appetite gradually diminished), go to the restroom by herself (sometimes experiencing "accidents"), and change her own clothes up until my family and I were forced to admit her into hospice. The news is sad, but I can't help but fondly remember him during his Python days. Here are a strip of pics of the roles that he played in 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail':

I am very sorry to hear this. Not only is he funny, he's a fine historian as well, as attested by his books and documentaries. |

Very sad news. It sounds as if the disease attacks something very dear to the person but leaves reason less impaired. |

Sad to hear it. My best wishes to Mr. Jones and his family. |

Sad loss, and yes, doubly hard on those close. My prayers for all of them. |

Saw it on the BBC crawl. Way worse for the family and friends! |

I echo Tacitus' sentiments. May God grant Terry and his family peace and grace in this time and in the days to come. |

A damn shame. A great mind and wit reduced to nothing. A pity. |
