I have a little over a day in New Orleans. Is the D-Day museum worth it? Anything else to see?

Go to the D-Day museum…a must! That could eat up a day…at least for me.

When I go to Nawlins…I usually go to parks, get a po-boy, and tour the old churches.

Go to the Bayou Wars website. Most of them are from New Orleans, they could give you some very good sites.

I would also visit the New Orleans Battlefield. But that could eat up time as it is about an hour drive each way. I usually catch in coming in or leaving New Orleans. Good way to kill a couple of hours.

I believe the Confederate War Museum is right next to the D-Day museum. I've been there three times and seen new things every time. One of my top museums in the world I've been to.

The first order of business is a visit to the Cafe du Monde. Sit on the patio, order a coffee and beignet, and linger.

Woody, you and me have got to take a road trip some time. I'll drive. It'll be like a Hunter S. Thompson adventure, if he'd lived as long as us.

Get some real jambalaya.

If you see Agent Pride, or any of the NCIS gang, tell them I said "hey."

The WW2 museum is well worth it. And yeah the Confederate museum is right there. The Royal Oyster House on Royal St is great. Has all the typical NO food and the char grilled oysters are fantastic. Jackson Square has some cool shops and the St Louis Cathedral.

Nuthin'. Nawlins is just a deadly dull place. Nuthin' ever goes on there and nobody ever goes there.

If you only have a day, skip the museums and hang around the French Quarter. Soak up the ambiance, eat some good food, listen to some good jazz and have a coffee and beignet (not necessarily in that order).
