… Drums Up a Frightening New World Order.

"One of the more surprising delights of last year in television and streaming was Amazon's adaptation of Philip K. Dick‘s masterful science fiction novel The Man in the High Castle, which, along with Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle, cemented Amazon as a major house for original programming. Though the series doesn't delight in the details of a parallel universe where the Axis powers won the war the way Dick's classic did, it remains a propulsive, tense, and wonderfully written espionage thriller, with solid lead performances from the likes of Alexa Davalos, Rufus Sewell, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, and Rupert Evans.

So, Season 2 of The Man in the High Castle is one of the more anticipated returns of the TV year, though it's not entirely clear if the program will return this year or in early 2017. And though there's no real sense of what will happen in Season 2 in the first trailer for the new season, which you can take a look at below, there is a sense of dread conveyed that continues the underlying panic and paranoia that made the first season so addictive. Here's hoping that the new season gets a release date soon, and that it's as almost unbearably tense as Season 1"

Oh, don't do this to us if nobody knows when it will return.

Season 2 goes beyond the book. The book was quite fabulous and the series was very entertaining. It will almost certainly leave the beaten trail that the book laid out.

Season two starts mid December. My only concern is the person the created it, Frank Spotliz, has left the show.
