The various candidates would go from state to state, collecting electoral votes. No ideology to speak of. Random events of course.

I don't know who made it but vaguely remember enjoying it.

Based on various timelines in my life I know I played it in the 80s.

Anybody know what game it may have been? The electoral vote collection was key.

Not an Avalon Hill or 3W bookshelf game, was it?

I think Dom got it. It looks sort of familiar.

I remember something similar from the 70s. It had a square bored and you got states via some I remembered mechanism and the electoral votes were on cards. NY, TX, CA were the winning cards.

Agree with Dom. Likely Campaign Trail. The last copy I saw for sale was tagged $80.00 USD

Check out the market at Board Game Geek. No copies are available now, but a copy sold less than a month ago for $12.50 USD. Highest price was $39.95 USD in April.

Landslide. Great game.

I had a copy of Landslide for decades! Played it quite a bit, too. Not a bad beer and pretzels game in its day.
