"We understand that experiencing flooding is stressful and upsetting and we are working with our out-of-hours provider to ensure that this doesn't happen again." So everybody complains about the cost of government and why can't they reduce taxes. Then you end up with people who bow to that pressure and save some money by outsourcing. And they haven't considered anything else (like the fact that the further you are from a problem, the less you can understand the context and formulate a solution), in fact, it's likely that the people who told the public, "Hey, that's cheaper, but cheaper is not necessarily better, and in our case, it isn't good enough." probably got pushed out of office. "Hello, OnStar? I'm driving too fast on a rainy highway and it appears the people ahead of me have stopped. Can you connect me to an insurance company? I need to get some … soon." … what? this isn't the Ranting board? |
