Cabela's is having a Fathers Day sale on Ruger LCP. MSRP of $299.00 USD on special for $199.00 USD. This is a great little .380 pocket pistol. I have had one for over a year and swmbo has been campaigning for one so I went ahead and picked up one for her at this price(also got another for the nightstand). If you have a CC permit I would highly recommend this gun. I have put well over 400 rounds through mine without a jam or mis-feed. It is very accurate out to 30-35 feet which is all you need for a personal defense weapon.

Remember, if is better to have a gun and never need it than to need one and not have it.

Disclaimer: I am not connected with either Ruger or Cabela's.

Wait a minute! Wait just a minute!!! It is Father's Day weekend and you bought a gift for swmbo?!? That is just not acceptable. --- LOL!

Enjoy them and maybe twist swmbo's arm a little to pitch in for a box or three of ammo.

Egads. Got the sister-in-law a Bersa and paid $179 USD a couple of years ago.

Not a bad pistol, but certainly not a Ruger (had to get a defective magazine disconnect warrantied, shooting well after).

Dave is right they are great little pistols.

I bought a his n hers last year, one for myself for CCW and one for my GF. She is a Police Officer and uses it as her ankle gun.

Get yourself a .357 magnum Smith & Wesson Model 649 and stuff it in a Galco ankle holster.

Ruger is a high-quality gun but the .380 caliber is too weak.

But remember that if you ever use it and hurt or kill someone, you will pay more than $50,000 USD in legal fees to defend yourself even if you are totally justified. So do your best to take one or two rounds in the gut before firing back.

Please don't tell me it's better to be tried by twelve than to be carried by six because I've heard all that and it doesn't wash.

And if you are going to kill someone, you might want to brush up on the law as it applies to the use of deadly force.

And of course you will have to live with it for the rest of your life. Are you ready for that?

Standing a little too close to the glow of the fireworks?
